SWEETER THAN HONEY

The Psalmist sang: the Bible is... “more desirable than gold—than an abundance of pure gold; and sweeter than honey dripping from a honeycomb” (Psalm 19:10, CSB).

Are you thankful for the inspired, infallible, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God? I am! Consider all that we know, only because we hold the written word of God in our hands!

The Bible reveals that from before the beginning, “the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1:1, ESV).

... that in the fullness of time “the Word became flesh and dwelt among us” (John 1:14, NKJV).

The Bible tells the story of the gracious God who “loved the world” (John 3:16, ESV)...

... and sent his Son “to seek and to save the lost” (Luke 19:10, ESV) ...

... “in order that the world might be saved through him” (John 3:17, ESV).

The Bible says “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief” (1 Timothy 1:15, NKJV)...

... and “we were enemies” (Romans 5:10, ESV) of the King and His kingdom.

... “But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ” (Ephesians 2:4-5, ESV).

The Bible promises that there is “no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1, ESV) ...

... that “since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:1, ESV) ...

... that “the Father of mercies and God of all comfort ... is ... able to comfort” us (2 Corinthians 1:3, ESV).

... “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard (our) hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7, ESV).

... that “if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9, NKJV).

Above all, the Bible reveals Jesus, called “Immanuel” (Isaiah 7:14), “which means, God with us” (Matthew 1:23, ESV).

... He is “Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6, ESV).

... He is the Messiah ... the Christ ... the King ... the Coming One ... “the Way, the Truth and the Life” (John 14:6), the One who “came that (we) may have life and have it abundantly” (John 10:10, ESV).

Hallelujah! The Bible is “a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105, ESV)...

... “more desirable than gold—than an abundance of pure gold; and sweeter than honey dripping from a honeycomb” (Psalm 19:10, CSB).
