SGBC puts on an after-school Bible program at South Georgia Elementary.

CHURCH PLANTING
TRADEWIND COMMUNITY CHURCH
SGBC is a church-planting church! In 2019, we noticed a rapidly growing part of southeast Amarillo that needed a local church family right in their own backyard. To meet that need, we hosted an initial preview service in April and officially launched Tradewind Community Church later that September. Today, TCC is a thriving sister congregation dedicated to loving their neighbors, building community, and sharing the hope of Jesus.

CASAS POR CRISTO
We love serving our regional neighbors! Every October, SGBC sends a team down to Juárez, Mexico, partnering with Casas por Cristo to build a home for a family in need. It’s a hands-on week of construction that provides a safe shelter and helps local pastors share the hope of Jesus.​​​​

AROUND THE WORLD
International Mission Board (IMB)
We partner with the IMB to support a missionary family living and serving in Lesotho, Africa. They work directly alongside native Christians to encourage, equip, and multiply local church families in one of the most unreached places in the world.​​

Reaching Souls International
SGBC works alongside Reaching Souls International to support National Missionaries and local pastors. By equipping these indigenous leaders within their own cultures, this partnership helps establish multiplying ministries across Africa, India, and Cuba.​

MISSIONS OFFERINGS
The Annie Armstrong Easter Offering
SGBC participates in the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering to support church planters and missionaries throughout North America. Working alongside the SBC’s North American Mission Board (NAMB), 100% of these gifts directly fund local evangelism, compassion ministries, and new church plants in communities across the U.S. and Canada.​​

The Mary Hill Davis Offering
We partner with Texas Baptists through the Mary Hill Davis Offering to advance gospel ministry across our state. These gifts directly resource statewide evangelism, church starting, disaster relief, and community outreach efforts dedicated to sharing the hope of Christ throughout Texas.

The Lottie Moon Christmas Offering
SGBC supports international evangelism and church planting through the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. Partnering with the SBC’s International Mission Board (IMB), 100% of these funds provide direct support, training, and resources for missionaries serving unreached peoples around the world.
