Isaiah 43:25

The Creator and God of the Universe is Omnipotent, Omnipresent, and Omniscient.

There is nothing that escapes God’s notice. He knows everything… always. “His understanding is infinite” (Psalm 147:5). “He knows all things!” (1 John 3:20).

God’s wisdom, knowledge, and understanding are infinite!

So get this… “I am the one, I sweep away your transgressions for my own sake and remember your sins no more” (Isaiah 43:25).

He knows everything but chooses to forget. If He forgives it, He forgets it!

This isn’t an isolated promise. Jeremiah recorded God’s promise: “I will forgive their iniquity and never again remember their sin” (Jeremiah 31:34).

The Psalmist wrote, “As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us” (Psalm 103:12). If an explorer travels east, when will he arrive at the west? He never will. The distance between east and west is infinite. Likewise, God’s forgiveness is infinite.

“He will again have compassion on us; he will vanquish our iniquities. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea” (Micah 7:19). The record of our sins is forever irretrievable.

And in the New Testament, John wrote, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). The ledgers are erased… wiped clean… forever cleansed.

This is a promise worth relishing … and remembering… “I sweep away your transgressions for my own sake and remember your sins no more” (Isaiah 43:25).

“… think on these things” (Philippians 4:8, KJV).
