At the Burning Bush, when Moses asked God, “What is Your name?” (Exodus 3:13), God replied, “I AM” (Exodus 3:14).
Jesus said, “I am the bread of life” (John 6:35). Only Jesus satisfies.
“I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows me will never walk in the darkness but will have the light of life” (John 8:12).
“I am the gate for the sheep” (John 10:7). Inside the gate, His sheep are kept safe.
“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep” (John 10:11).
“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me, even if he dies, will live” (John 11:25).
“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me”
(John 14:6).
“I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in me and I in him produces much fruit, because you can do nothing without me” (John 15:5).
To Moses, God said, “I AM WHO I AM” (Exodus 3:14). “I am the always existing One, the never changing One! I have always been… I am… and I always will be… GOD!”
God called Moses to an impossible task, but a task that God could easily accomplish. God promised Moses that the Always Existing, Never Changing God, would be behind him and before him. “Trust Me! I AM!”
Only Jesus satisfies. Only Jesus lights our path. Only the Good Shepherd protects and directs. Only Jesus gives life, produces fruit, and is the Way, Truth and Life! Only Jesus!
Only Jesus says, “because I was, I am, and I always will be, you can trust Me!”
“… think on these things” (Philippians 4:8, KJV).
