Holy Father,
Your Word declares, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land”
(2 Chron. 7:14, NKJV).
As citizens of the United States of America, we humbly confess and admit that for forty-nine years, since 1973, there have been over 63 million babies legally aborted, legally executed. Oh God, forgive us!
Please, make us one nation under God, in a land of liberty for all. Oh Lord, grant us peace.
Lord, we are thankful for the courage of the men and women on the United States Supreme Court who have rendered the decision to set aside and correct the error made in Roe vs. Wade.
Father, we ask You to grant wisdom and courage as the nine Justices continue to serve our country and we pray for safety for each of them and their families.
Lord, we pray for those who serve within the Executive and Legislative branches of our federal government. Lord, grant wisdom to do right! Grant unity to move forward.
Dear God, we pray for those who serve within state governments, where decisions have been made, or where they will be made, concerning the Right to Life. Your will be done!
Lord, we pray for men and women, who over the past forty-nine years, have made the decision to abort a pregnancy, ending the life of a preborn child. Lord, forgive and heal!
Lord, we pray for those who have worked in the medical field who have used their life-saving training and their life-sustaining skills to end the lives of innocent and viable babies.
Father, we pray for crisis pregnancy centers, for the foster care system, and for adoption agencies. Lord, put living babies in the arms of loving parents. Lord, help young women facing crisis-pregnancies to make the loving decision to give their babies to adoptive families!
And Lord God, we pray for those who are raging and rioting against the Supreme Court’s decision. Your Word says that we don’t war against the flesh, that the battle isn’t against Democrats or Republicans, against Liberals or Conservatives, “but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places” (Eph. 6:12, NKJV).
Lord, would you help us to see this, less as a victory, and more as an opportunity. Lord, make us people of peace, armed only with grace, goodness, and the Gospel!
Lord, I admit that a year or two ago, I didn’t think it was possible that Roe vs. Wade would ever be overturned. Lord, you have reminded me that all things are possible! Father, as I pray for peace in our land, I must admit that in my heart, I’m still not sure that peace is probable or even possible. We are so broken, so divided. Lord, help my unbelief!
Oh, God, our nation needs a miracle, a revival, a great awakening! Lord, would you start that revival in my heart, in my home, and in Your church!
We pray these things in the powerful name of Jesus, and for His glory alone!
Amen!
