We know it’s November. And still a week before Thanksgiving. But whether or not you’ve busted out the Christmas tree or are listening to Christmas music yet, it’s definitely not too early to be getting started on your Christmas shopping.
We love to give books for Christmas! And what better kind of book than one that will direct little hearts to Jesus? Here are a few suggestions that we know your favorite kids would love:
The Jesus Storybook Bible, by Sally Lloyd-Jones
This is hands-down our second favorite book about Jesus (after the Bible, of course)! If you don’t have a copy, buy it for your children - or yourself!
Found: Psalm 23, by Sally Lloyd-Jones
Toddlers will love this precious board book retelling the 23rd Psalm.
The Biggest Story, by Kevin DeYoung
This is a beautiful book that will help your children begin to understand the overarching story of the whole Bible, all centered on the Gospel.
*There’s also a toddler-friendly version of this book called The Biggest Story ABC!
God’s Very Good Idea, by Trillia Newbell
This book about God’s big, diverse family is a new favorite in our house!
On the Edge of the Dark Sea of Darkness, by Andrew Peterson
If you want some wonderful fiction to read aloud to elementary-age children or for older older kids to read by themselves, The Wingfeather Saga is sure to be a hit! This is the first book in a fantastic four-book series.
