Vacation Bible School is one of the most exciting weeks of the year for the SGBC Kids Ministry!
Beginning Sunday, for five consecutive nights, children will be taught the Good News of Jesus. It's a week of eternal significance — and mega fun!
We hope your family will be involved! Here are seven ways you can be a part of this year's VBS:
Bring your kids. Maybe this one is obvious, but we want your children to attend each night of VBS! Put it on your schedule: 6-8 p.m. June 4-8, with a Blast-Off Cookout at 5 p.m. on June 4.
Invite someone. Tell your co-workers, neighbors, friends – we would love to welcome their children next week, too. Share details about VBS on social media.
Pray. Pray for the nearly 100 VBS workers. Pray for children to hear and respond to the Gospel. Pray for our neighborhood. You’re also welcome to come to the church and pray throughout the building, in each space where the Gospel will go out. Pray.
Encourage a VBS worker. Not working at VBS, but have a friend who is? Offer to help them decorate their room. See how you could help their family during that busy week. Ask for specific ways you could be praying for them.
Join the VBS Support Team. Anyone who isn’t already an approved VBS worker is welcome on the VBS Support Team. This group will serve each night of VBS to greet families, write notes to guests, pray for VBS, study the VBS lesson together, and more! If you're interested in serving on this year's VBS Support Team, contact Bruce Cotgreave in the church office this week.
Contribute to the VBS mission project. For the second year, SGBC’s VBS mission project will support 5280 Church in Denver, Colorado. Families are asked to bring basic school supplies and money the week of VBS that will be donated to the church. (Learn more about 5280 Church at sgbc.co/missions.)
Memorize the VBS verse. Throughout the week of VBS, kids will be learning Colossians 1:15-16. It’s a reminder of how eternally awesome Jesus is!
