So Much Grace

October 25, 2016

There's never a little grace in the Bible.

God’s undeserved and unearned favor toward us is enormous. It is better than we think. More than we can contain.

Grace is in "abundance" (Romans 5:17) and "extends...more and more" (2 Corinthians 4:15). Grace is "surpassing" (2 Corinthians 9:14) and "glorious" (Ephesians 1:6). The Bible refers to the "immeasurable riches" of grace (Ephesians 2:7) and promises that God "gives more grace" (James 4:6).

It is heaped up, lavished, overflowing.

So much grace is Good News for me. Because I have so much sin.

My sin is “ever before me” (Psalm 51:3). It enslaves me (John 8:34). It leads only to death (Romans 5:12).

Thank God for “grace upon grace” that is mine in Jesus (John 1:16). So much grace!
