Do you want your family to be on mission this summer but don’t have an opportunity to go on a mission trip?
Here are three ways to be missional as a family this summer:
Be on mission in your neighborhood.
Meet your neighbors. Play in the front yard instead of the back. Go to garage sales. And pray for opportunities to tell your neighbors about Jesus!
Be on mission as you go.
Does your kid play baseball or take ballet? Are they signed up for a basketball camp? Do you frequent a park close to your house or stop at the same coffee shop every day?
Keep doing what you’re doing — but pray that God would change your outlook. Maybe the activities already on your schedule could be your family’s greatest mission field!
Join our church on mission.
SGBC is focusing this summer on being active in the South Georgia neighborhood. Our prayer is that our neighbors would see that we love them — so we would have the opportunity to tell them about Jesus.
There are opportunities every Thursday to meet in South Georgia School Park for games and snacks. And the church’s South Georgia Block Party is Sunday, July 17. Find out more ways to be on mission in our community at sgbc.co/missions.
We’re praying for your families this summer — and ours too — that we would give God control of our schedules and activities. We’re praying that He would teach us to be missionaries!
