This week, we've compiled a list of upcoming SGBC family events that we’re most excited about in coming months. We hope you’ll join us!


There’s a place for every member of the family on Wednesday nights at SGBC! Seek began last week and continues from 6-7:15 p.m. every Wednesday. Study the Gospel of Jesus from the stories of biblical prophets with us! Visit for details.

Family Game Night

Before SGBC’s Sunday evening discipleship classes on September 9, families are invited to the B Building for a night of food, games, and fun! Details are here:

Movie in the Park

SGBC will show “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe” on a mega screen in South Georgia School Park at on Friday, September 14! Join us as we gather in our community to share the evening with our neighbors! Details are here:

The Treasure

SGBC kids (preschoolers with a parent and grades K-6) are invited to this Saturday morning event (October 5), which will include breakfast, followed by Bible teaching and activities based on Jesus’ parable in Matthew 13:44! Details are here:


The Student Ministry (grades 7-12) will spend from 6:30-8 p.m. on Sunday, October 6 playing pumpkin-related games! Details are here:

Trunk or Treat

SGBC’s largest outreach event of the year is set from 6:30-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31! The evening includes gobs of candy for kids, games galore, and much more! SGBC members can sign up now to volunteer at this year’s Trunk or Treat: Join us!

The Cross-Shaped Family | A Conference for Parents

SGBC will present a two-day parenting conference on November 2-3! The event will feature sessions from the national conference of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission. Meals will be provided on Friday night and Saturday morning. Childcare will be available. The event is free; register by Sunday, October 21. Details are at

Also coming soon:

  • Worship and Discipleship. Beginning on September 9, SGBC will offer a variety of discipleship classes each Sunday at 5 p.m. Our littlest ones are invited for preschool choir, with Bible studies available for children and students. Details are at

  • Solemn Assembly: Renewal and Revival. SGBC will host a weekend of worship, Bible teaching, and fellowship at this churchwide event.

  • Exodus. The Student Ministry’s annual fall retreat is set for November 9-10 at High Plains Retreat Center. The event is for grades 7-12 and young adults ages 18-24. The cost is $30. Registration opens soon!
